My name is Nicole and I am extremely passionate about photography.

You will find my most current work showcased here!

With a journalistic and artist approach, I strive to create a timeless and unique collection of spontaneous moments with style.

I am a careful, unobtrusive observer anticipating the moment and making the connection.

Born & raised in Seattle, I earned a BFA of Photography at the University of Washington. I am in my 9th year in business.  Woohoooo!!!

I am now based in the sunny city of Los Angeles, but I am available for travel worldwide.

When I am not behind my camera (or computer!), I .....

-  cherish time with my family & friends

-  practice power yoga

-  bike on the beach trails in SoCal

-  hike and go on long walks in my neighborhood of Silverlake

-  explore hole in the wall restaurants

-  go to live concerts.

-  find my addiction to peanut butter getting stronger

Liz + Casey Engagement Session | Edmonds, WA Waterfront

HELLO, hello, hello!!! It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted a photo blog entry. I am absolutely thrilled to have Liz & Casey’s engagement session to be my first big blog post of the year.  We went to my old stomping grounds of Marina Beach in Edmonds, WA to capture the love they have for each other. We had the most amazing weather anyone to ask for. It was simply, “An EDMONDS kind of day!” I am very proud to say that I grew-up near here.

From eating chocolate ice-cream, balancing on beach drift wood, hanging out in a nautical-like window, to walking their adorable dog and fishing off the pier, this shoot was a dream for me. I just LOVE lifestyle shoots.  Their wedding has a nautical theme so Edmonds was a perfect location for their engagement session! I will be photographing their wedding on Whidbey Island, WA in August 2010.

March 11, 2010 - 3:32 pm Liz - Nicole, thank you SO much, for so many things: 1) For making our engagement session SO much fun... even Casey had a great time, and that's saying a lot for a guy who isn't much for taking pictures! 2) For having such a keen eye for details... you noticed kites in the air, amazing lighting and really cool, creative places to take photos 3) For your ability to blend flattering, practical shots with some drop-dead gorgeous and artsy ones into a set of photos we'll love forever (and use a zillion different ways) 4) For your coaching - you talked us through everything in a way that made us feel so comfortable. That's a gift! You really captured this moment in our lives so well. We can't wait for you to photograph our wedding!!!
