With the perfect mixture of “sweet” and “scary,” Erica and Stephen’s wedding was magical.
For the “sweet”: The emotional first glance, the gorgeous flowers, the venue of La Quinta Resort was dreamy, the ceremony just may have been the most heart-felt and clever one I have ever witnessed, the girl’s robes were floral and pretty, and the dance party was rocking.
Ok, for the “scary”: the cake topping was Freddy Krueger‘s hand (!!!) and the inside of the groom’s custom-made jacket was designed with skulls on red fabric. Check out their Save-the-Date video. It’s ahhhh-mazing.
What can we say, Erica and Stephen love scary movies, but they are as sweet and fun as can be! I love out of the box and creative wedding details and ideas.
This is a 4 part post, so please make sure to stick around to see the scary wedding cake and all the pretty romance photos.
Cheers and congrats to you both, Erica and Stephen!
The Love Story (in Erica’s words): Stephen and I met at work. We became friendly when I realized he had an extra parking spot at his building that was located at the start of Runyon Canyon, which is nearly impossible to find parking! We started hiking together before work. That led to us becoming good friends and then best friends to the point where we would do nearly everything together. We were still so platonic that I set him up with my roommate at the time younger sister! Then one night, we went to a Nightmare on Elm Street 25th anniversary screening (favorite movie of both of us) and when we got in the car to go home, he looked at me, said f**K it and kissed me for the first time. After that night, we both were pretty much done for as we realized we had found everything we were ever looking for in a partner in each other. He got a new job and we started dating for real. We still get to hang out as best friends, now with the added bonus of being husband and wife!
